Pastors Mike and Amanda Lopez have a long history in the Dubuque area and with Word of Life Church. They have now taken the baton to serve as Lead Pastors, to guide the people of WOLC into the next season of God's vision and His plans for the region. They bring decades of experience to their ministry, and people look up to them for their engaging authenticity, infectious joy, and commitment to God's Word.

Mike and Amanda are both graduates of Rhema Bible Training College.

Pastors Loren and Joy Hirschy served as the lead pastors of Word of Life Church from 1985-2025. After passing the baton to Pastors Mike & Amanda Lopez, they have stepped into a season of supportive ministry at WOLC, while also championing God's plan for marriages and families as they minister in the US and around the world.

Native Iowans, graduates of ISU/UD and Kirkwood, they parent one child, while bringing extensive experience in worship and prayer to WOLC. 

Both graduates of Loras College (and Morgan, LCU) they parent three children, with Luke serving as the board treasurer and Morgan as worship leader.

Both born in South Africa, they have extensive experience in farming, business, and ministry. Paul leads the men's ministry at WOLC.

Both RBTC grads (and Greg, LBA), Greg and Laurie have two adult children, are long-time members of WOLC, and serve and support in a variety of capacities.

 Both grads of RBTC, and new parents, Carson serves on the men's team, and Miranda on the women's.
